Mcgillis is another that has been very char like. Rau is the only other gundam characters that really char like. Captain Mask is more of Jerid. Iron mask is lame ass darthvader. everyone else is not even close.

It's not a broad statement, you're just using it wrong. Calling someone a Char clone implies they are very much like Char, if he were in that series. Having a mask doesn't make one a Char clone, otherwise Trowa would be a "Char clone"
Okay, let me give my perspective.
I'm currently 31 episodes into MSG 0079 but I watched Turn A first for whatever reason.
If Harry is a Char clone, why don't I fucking hate him? Harry was absolutely bro tier for playing along with Dianna and Kihel's stupid game of Prince and the Pauper, while Char is like the main reason I can't stand zeekshit.

no, that is the definition of a "Masked Man" and every gundam has one. A char clone is someone who acts or is modeled after Char. i think one major defining characteristic is that Char clones have their own agendas aside from their factions, even working against them. So Zechs/Rau/Iron Mask/ mc gillis really fit the bill. but lapdogs like Harry, C. Mask, Chronicle don't cause they just do as their told.

A Char clone isn't one explicit thing, it's being like Char. That usually involves a mask at the very least, but can involve having your own agenda, obsession with the Gundam or a tragic backstory about dead parents as well.
Graham for instance doesn't start with any of them really, he's just a blonde dude. Over the course of the show he develops an obsession with Gundam, pilots in revenge for dead squad mates and gets a mask. He has no dead parents like Zechs, but he's still A Char.
