The Shokew is hardly representative of typical Zanscare designs.
Most of the Zanscare suits are ugly, though there's some decent ones mixed in.

Zanspine is my fave as well as the Zanneck.
most people jut see the wheels or the midget proportions but stretch them a bit and they look really nice. I personally love the Zanneck and the Imperial Rig Shokew. Also the Tomliats and Zoroats

The Shokew family is my favourite and I really wish Cronicle kept the variants as his ace custom instead of flying around in Zolos and Tomliats like every other Zanscare ace and scrub)

Gengaozo and Rig Contio were my two favorite Zanscare units. Gen for that Quint Cannon backpack and the Rig because I fucking love asymmetry.
Marbet's Zoloat was pretty fucking great.

Zanscare suits aren't memorable because they just had a tendency to dump 20 different types in the same battle as opposed to sticking with 2 or 3 models for people to get used to them before moving to the next patch.

I think this is a case where the design sensibilities are cool, but most of the actual applications of those sensibilities are lame.
So there's a few really cool ones--like the Contio or the Gengaozo or whichever one else I'm forgetting right now--but most are pretty lame.

Shokew is one of the best looking late UC suits. A lot of the other Zanscare designs are down right hideous and rather pointless to boot. There really was no need for 3 or 4 types of beam helicopter grunts.

It's a pity most Zanscare units didn't have that visor to make them look immediately distinct from any other faction. The bug eyes are distinct, but it takes a second to see it and I don't think it really works that well on any suit bar the Abigor. I'm not sure if it's the color scheme or the arrangement, but it works well there.
