I actually had this kit. It worked pretty well, and the way they did joints as a sort of partial internal skeleton was a really neat idea too. But like all kits of that age, the proportions were awkward as hell and it couldn't be posed for shit.
But if those eyes are indeed separate cast plastic colors and not some kind of pre-printed decal, then it's a way more advanced version of the layered injection than was going on in those kits.

Seems like a lot of effort for something a simple tampo could have accomplished. Then again I don't know shit about the idiosyncrasies of model production. Also I would've preferred this be used for little 1/20 statues like those that came with certain MGs. Colored busts always looked dumb as hell to me.
