Same. I just want them to capitalize on what is already great about the series. More territory stuff, more ai/unac customization, more parts, more tuning, bigger maps and of course better matchmaking and a satisfying campaigns with good bosses. Having pilotable transports for the operators and making it a 8 v 8 or 16 v 16 game would be pretty sick. Did they scrap the arena concept? Should be a fun thing to do inbetween mercenary work/missions. Bring hover legs back definitely. Possibly have the Risk elements again, control all the continents on Earth then do the same thing in space and on Mars. Keep the 3 faction thing. Love having a war on two fronts at all times.

For real, though, replace the generator with an Omer one, and the stock Hitmans with Motorcobras and it is one of the best close range NEXTs available.
Rayleonard made the single fastest targeting system by a pretty wide margin, and it's PA rectification will keep it safe from the occasional shot you'll take during your constant quick-boosting.

Ravens are probably some of the most skilled mecha pilots ever created, only a few Gendums could keep up with Ravens, even by having a superior machine.
I mean, AC MCs always took on impossibly stronger enemies that had extreme tech advantage. Phantasma, Nineball, the martian mechs in 2, IBIS, Pulverizers, you name it, unless you're going to bring the Turn A or Quanta, chances are your average gendum is getting rekt by a tin can.

GOD DAMN so much fun. Such a cheesy and animu ability but it oddly fits. I didn't even know about it the first time I played AC2.
Pity they took it out after AA. I mean I get it not being there for Nexus and Last Raven seeing how these were trying to achieve the best balance without even the H+ but not seeing this feature in 3 and SL is a real pity. Hell not having overweight-ignore in 3/SL is also kinda disheartening seeing how they give you OP-I and break your balls to achieve maximum usefulness out of it.
Oh well, this way every entry and its expansion is somewhat unique with its features. AC2/AA had traditional H+ with Limiter Release, AC3/SL had Extra Arena and awesome customizable AI and Nexus/LR had the best overall balance and new controls.

I miss Limiter Release more than I miss Plussie shit, even if it was basically unlimited energy for a few seconds, I'm just a sucker for releasing limiters on mechs.
Besides, it's not like Human+ would have much use today besides weight limit restrictions, you already have shitload of energy since AC4, you can fart overboost and use shoulders weapons almost completely freely as opposed to classic AC, I don't see Human+ returning since it would only mean some global stat boost and weight limit removal.
And in certain games like 4 it didn't have much sense anyway, everyone was plussie scum in there.

As the Closed Plan is canon, have descendants of those who departed return to Earth a couple years after VD to see how things are going.
Maybe have the whole environmental contamination issue with Kojima particles eliminated, or at least drastically reduced to still make NEXT (and Arms Fort!) usage viable by these advanced space-faring humans. The shitters on Earth can still use the Normals of V-VD and other large-scale weapons.
Then just set it up as a much more peaceful faction of humanity coming to check on the welfare of Earth/those who stayed behind, and being summarily greeted by their rock-banging asshole descendants. Aside from being grossly outnumbered by these fucking cavemen-tier people with their gay Normal ACs, maybe have the NEXT users be stranded on or above Earth by an accident on their spacecraft (or intentionally stuck in Earth orbit as part of a recolonization plot by some cunt (s)).
The Numeric disadvantage can be explained by it being a small expeditionary force.
Numeric inferiority should balance out allowing these refined NEXTs to fly forever, carry vastly superior weapons, have vastly superior sensors and mobility, and be much more durable.

I think fans are clinging to 4/FA timeline too much. It was there to highlight the peak and fall of humanity both with technology and with planet itself seeing how the countries were still recognizable. Playing in ruins of once great empires is where it's all at anon. Remember, from AC4 and onward it was all Miyazaki's idea, who continued the AC trend of "paradise lost", much like FROM's other popular franchise.

I legitimately love the NEXTs, particularly the Aaliyah/Rayleonard designs, and think they're some of the best 'plausible' sanic-speed mecha.
The Aaliyah in particular, looks like something that spent time in a wind tunnel. It's a fighter jet crossed with an F1 racer, given limbs and weapons. All those vanes, the intakes, the swooping lines which look purposeful rather than some artist going "gotta be pointy and edgy looking".
I love the stabiliser system in 4/FA: the best way to rationalise all the pointy greebles that usually hang off mecha, as control surfaces and counterweights to balance out things like additional weapon systems. The fact that all these things enable the NEXT to turn on a fucking dime out of a 1000km/h boost.
Plus, I love that in the lore the Aaliyah is the first gen of NEXT: and that by For Answer it's considered an outdated design that can nonetheless hold its own in the right hands. It's like the early Migs.

I liked this too. In 4 they're considered these unorthodox but still soundly designed machines that take up a lot of skill to truly utilize and by FA they're powered solely by going "FUCK YOU I STILL GOT THIS".

If you want to look at it that way, most of the AC protags are special, wouldn't be changing anything. Goes all the way back to AC1.

They're not THAT special nor are they important enough for a plot to revolve around them. It's always a greater conflict and you just choose a side that will prevail, albeit a little. They're always a drop that spill the cup, just edging out by the end of the game. None of those feats are acomplished by somebody who suffered an animu protag power bestowment and did it all by himself with his super special magic robot.

A literal nobody with no Human plus modifications beat his superiors. The conflict would still move without you. The war would've waged and ended without your influence. Play the missions in other path and read the battle statistic of how other missions played out without your or other people's involvement; LR is Butterfly effect: the game. This nails it. Really visible in LR and FA. In LR, Evangel goes full inferiority complex if you don't go into his faction and start killing his guys early on. This is because YOU the nobody did all this on your own accord. A random fuck getting in his way one way or the other. He and Zinaida, both overpowered H+ recognize the LR as a true dominant if you, yourself, took the hardest missions for the hardest path.
In FA, you're regarded as a mindless animal because that's all they see in you. You have no characterization other than people going "this mute asshole goes around killing everybody" if you choose that path.

In a way, this is a theme in the serie, Last Raven and V-VD adress this. But is no handle in the way like gundam.
From time to time a really skilled pilot will appears, he will dominate in the battlefield, and whoever manage to get him in his side, probably have the war in the pocket (Last Raven), but usually this pilot is a wild gun and is rare to him to take a side, this makes him a really dangerous factor in the ongoing conflict, to the point that is better to kill him before is to late than allow it to make a impact (Verdict Day and until some point V)
AC have the theme of the existance of this dominants, usually normal pilots (on Last Raven everyone minus the player have H+) humans that have a huge potencial when put on a AC, and no matter what you will only kill him with another Dominant (Leon and Anatolias merc)

Armored Core 2, Another Age, 3 and Silent Line emulate really well. Armored Core Nexus, Nine Breaker and especially Last Raven are more demanding. With the latest updates though and a strong PC they too are playable.
If you want to play Last Raven you can also emulate the portable version with PPSSPP. There are some new parts and enemies and you can reconfigure the controls to have analogue aiming. Sure the graphics lack some effects and shadows but I feel like they injected some colors to counterbalance that.

Is not much Shippperfaggotry, and is more because since the "forgotten day" story ends that there is no records of the merc, I reach the conclusion that he left with Fran, since they decide that they need to stop Venide and prepare for the coming of Isaac. Rosary basically just returned to Man of Honor and took control, but Fran decides to go with a small group of migrants to the far east, after all that happens I doubt the V MC will just go his own way, I think he goes with Fran seeing the lack of resource and manpower she has, since Rosary have a whole organization waiting for her. Becuause of the small group and any time it will take them to find a place where to put a base, they probably didn't have much records of their early days, any resistance was destroyed by the V MC and so no records from their enemies exist, when Evergreen finally start becoming a thing in Asia, V MC is probably old and retire fron the front line.
Maggy talks that her ancestors saw the dark raven, but her parents die when she was young and her grandmother raise her, since VD is 100 years apart from V, her grandmother is the daughter or grandaugther of Fran, She could have this "cool uncle" that was V MC IF not outright her dad, when she tells the story of him to Maggy she call him with the title Fran probably used for him one time or something. Like I said in the BEST CASE Fran and MC got together, but not neccesary, but also, if they got, the legend of the dark raven could be more as a "family story" for Maggy and that could be one of the reasons she wants to be like the dark raven. Be sure to not overload the mech with guns, it will slow it down and make it an energy hog, which brings me to the next point:
Every piece has a passive energy consumption that limits energy regeneration. The more energy your mech needs, the slower it regenerates. Also, every booster has active energy consumption. Be sure that your build can stay on the air indefinitely as long as you don't quickboost or strafe. Use low consumption boosters if needed, and don't spam quickboost.
If you want speed, being light is better than having powerful boosters, because those are heavier and need heavier generators.
Best weapons for your first time dual machine guns/rifles on the hands and missiles or a grenade launcher on the back. If you have to kill big things use laser blades, if you need to kill enemy NEXTs use either big cannons or machineguns.
Learn how do strafe around enemies, and learn how to do quickturns (quickboost + turning camera) in case they get on your back.
Never stop moving.
