Perverts ruining a children's mecha show. Nothing is sacred anymore.

Said pervert worked on the show, he earned it.

What are you gonna do when you get to the end of Box 1 and no ISOs of Box 2 still in sight?

>This is the story of the brave men and women who fight with all their hearts to protect mankind.
>The only human to do anything is a cyborg

GGG did fuck all to live up to its tagline.

>Gai is still biologically a man

anybody got that GGG timeline image?

A bait of legendary quality
>>14126450
>tfw re-watching GGG ever since childhood
>enduring hard-subbed low quality DVD rips
>this comes out
At least the show is still very good, I literally remember next to nothing about GGG since I watched it on TV when I was like 7-8 something.
I hope there's BD for Final.
>>14143171
FINAL's getting a blu ray release but apart from the first episode or so it's all going to be a digital upsacle. You'll have one episode of mind numbingly good stock footage and that's it.
>>14126450
I just started watching this after remembering a really funny thread from like 05 of some dudes messing around on /a/ and requesting Final Fusion.
This show is so fucking awesome, I considered watching the whole Brave Series, but I realized it probably wouldn't be as good.
>>14143171
Did it air on TV in America or are you from some other country?
>>14144962
Watching the whole series is a fairly tall order, and only recently possible in English. The rest may be lower budget than GaoGaiGar, but that doesn't make them worse. Of the rest I've only seen all of J-Decker, but it was a fun and funny experience. It's a very different kind of show, but then again most of them are.
>>14145045
Seeing how similar all the robots look I can't imagine they'd be that different, but I suppose they could be.
>>14144968
Brave was popular in Korea and China, so the anon may hail from either of those two.
>>14145045
Meanwhile, only Might Gaine lacks complete coherent subs (since the second half is in HKs). Since Silver Castle will tackle Gold Lightan and Subdivers are busy with Dagwon and the unrelated Musashi Road, I imagine Sasword might tackle it after finishing Goldran.
>>14145045
Just popping in to say I disliked GaoGaiGar and dropped it after 18 episodes of repetition. But I watched all of and liked Da Garn. It seemed like it was less episodic than GGG
>>14145674
That's largely thanks to Yatabe letting the head writer Gobu Fuyunori (and his replacement Yasushi Hirano, after getting sick during production) express his tight storytelling. Well, that and his "protect the environment!" leanings. Overall, Da Garn is like an animated version of Changeman with more progression.
You can also check out Iron Leaguer, which Fuyunori also did writing for.
>>14145674
>dropped after 18 episodes
You were only a few away from the good stuff. At the very least, just skip ahead to that.
>>14145674
>I disliked GaoGaiGar and dropped it after 18 episodes of repetition
I don't know why, but I like the repetition. Maybe I have autism. I'm only 6 episodes in and I've been humming the theme song over and over.
Also this >>14145730
I hear there's a big change and shit gets tense around that point.
The first episode of GGG are all about characters and introducing the various team members/equipment of 3G.
People who complain about repetition are the same people who say anime that focuses on story is boring. They just want to see mindless action scenes because they're pleb.
>>14146613
>People who complain about repetition are the same people who say anime that focuses on story is boring.
That's not exactly fair with a formulaic super robot show like GaoGaiGar. A big chunk of every battle scene is Final Fusion and it's pretty repetitive. I guess it makes sense though. The show was originally intended to be watched one episode per week. The repetition probably seems worse if you're watching 2-3 episodes at time.
>>14145111
Mecha design =/= setting, tone, character development, and plot.
Holy shit, these dudes are homos.
>>14146652
>The show was originally intended to be watched one episode per week. The repetition probably seems worse if you're watching 2-3 episodes at time.
pretty much this. i think the best course of action is trying to not watch that many eps consecutively, and once you start feeling burned out, the best option is to stop for a while.
the only times i would say you have to marathon it is around ep 20 to 25 i think and then the last 6-7 eps since that's where shit hits the fan hardi like to recomend watching the openings too but that can also get tiring for some people
>>14147062
They are brothers
>>14128181
I bought box 2 and I've had it for weeks, I've just not uploaded it :^)
>>14146613
>They just want to see mindless action scenes because they're pleb.
Does GaoGaiGar have that real depth? Beyond the mindless mecha action scenes and toy shit? I'm not far into it, but it seems pretty formulaic.
>>14148739
Yes. Yes it does.
>>14148739
Quick, someone post the GGG drinking game
>>14148739
well, there's tidbits and backstories that aren't present in the series, but are in audio dramas, manga and novels and to some extentbetterman, this goes for both original tv seires and final
>>14149619
Anything worth mentioning offhand that would make watching GGG a better experience?
>>14150271
Just keep watching
>>14147541
You can be both.
Any creditless openings or endings for this BD release anywhere yet?
>>14150281
I wasn't that other guy, it's been years since I've seen it so I was thinking of re-watching.
>>14150329
Those are all on box 2.
>>14150271
well maybe thisvolfogg's AI was based on someone important for entouji who died protecting him prior to the events of the series iirc, this was supposedly mentioned in an audio drama that tells the fight between GGG and Bionet
overall, the series are selfcontained and the extra material is not that essencial, it's just there for the people who wanted a little more about the world of gaogaigar, maybe except for that little tidbit for volfogg's origin, because of a scene during the first part's finale, but even then someone could have just shrug it and keep watching, maybe even forgetting it
>>14126613
tfw youre reminded gaogaigar final exists
>>14151762
it needed more eps showing gaofighgar doing stuff (original eps, not recaps using gaogaigar's footage like what happened in grand glorious gathering), the same goes for renais and the rest of the ggg robots, ( there was still a little gap between gaofighgar's first combination and kaido andrepli-mamoru'sarrival), it went way too fast to the point you couldn't get attached to the new characters.
i still enjoyed it, mainly for palparepa getting btfo by gai and genesic, even when he come back latermultiplied by 1000
Anyone else getting stalled on this?
Is swan white french?

I started watching it around a month ago, waiting on volume three.

The wierdass way of preparing coffee only caught on with hipster internationally during the last ten years or so, I think. Before that you really did have to travel to Japan to get coffee made with that type of setup.
>>14158042
What way are you talking about
>>14156724
I am surprised that that anon sees a blonde-haired, blue-eyed, large breasted woman in an anime and doesn't immediately think America.
>>14156724
>She's Japanese-American
99% American and traces of Japanese.
>>14158059
It's because of her voice, every time she talks it reminds me of my French aunt.
>>14158719
You got one weird aunt then.
So what are the chances that this doesn't get completed before October?
