Along with Zeta, Turn-A, and ...maybe S Gundam? It has the most unique head design among the protag Gundams. The little screen that displays the writing on its forehead and the nicely streamlined color scheme (not making its V fin yellow was a nice touch) and it just looks sleek. When I saw that 00 was going to have a more traditional Gundam head it was actually a bit of a let down for me, even though I kind of like it too overall but it's not as cool as Exia and obviously I think even the show's dev team knew that since it comes back lol.
I kind of like Barbatos' head too, which is unique as well but its definitely not as sleek as Exia or Zeta's pretty heads.

You've got to feel sorry for Saji. For a lot of reasons, really, but in this case, the airplane just looks like it must have been a nightmare to fly around in. Every fight he's stuck in this tiny exposed cockpit with no armor being whipped around on the end of a long shaft as 00 turns. Had to have been stressful for him, no wonder he came away from his time with Celestial Being with PTSD.

Saji only feels the force on the first battle because 1. he's not use to the speed that the now 00 raiser I'd reaching, and 2. the 0 raiser was still fresh off the production line, so it wasn't quiet ready for someone to remain in it after docking. technically, all the 0 raiser needed was a Haro behind the wheel to function on its own prior to docking with the 00

The V2, while still a great suit, doesn't quite do it for me in the same way Victory does. And AB may be cooler than vanilla V2 but it isn't quite as aesthetically pleasing.
Mk II to Zeta. Victory to V2. Shining to God. X to DX. Exia to 00. All of these are wonderful but the first one is better.
For second season superiority we have Zyphranthes to Stamen which is debatable, Wing to Wing Zero and Ground Gundam to Ez-8. Maybe AGE-1 to AGE-2 but then you have two downgrades in AGE-3 and FX.
Don't get me wrong, I find few designs in Gundam to be actually bad (but that extends to most mecha) and none of them are lead MS. But first season usually has superiority. Not that it can't happen. It simply didn't happen that time.

Like, in a weird way, F90's just...vague, boringness, is kind of weirdly aesthetically fitting in a way. Its like that character that is a master of disguise, and can don all these different roles looks and personalities, but the drawback is by themselves they have no personality of their own.
