For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, dont make the new people worry!

Yep. I wanted to make the kit fully before taking it apart and painting the cockpit/most bits of it before focusing on Noa and Asuma. I've never really painted such small persons before so I'm somewhat excited by the idea.

not gunpla but you guys need some plamo in here some times to mix things up. just snapped together a quick test fit of a 1/700 HMS Nelson i got last week, its an odd design but i like it.
not long ago somebody in this thread or the /toy/ one mentioned ship kits being very complicated and more difficult than gunpla, which is only partially true. ships are tiny and have loads of pieces but are such a small scale that you dont need to add a whole lot of additional details to get a display piece you can be happy looking at on your shelf. plus most warships are grey hunks to begin with so you dont need to paint very much to get them looking accurate out of the box. experienced modelers will add alot of details and weathering but its extremely difficult at 1/700 scale and require alot of scratch-building and expensive third party detail-up sets that arnt nearly as necessary compared to large scale armor or aircraft kits.
The Heavyarms project has been going good, and I was able to attach the knife, but not extremely securely, still seems like it could come off if you're too rough. I also painted the chest in flat white, although the super glue I got on it when I had it as a standard Heavyarms is even worse looking now, and the second ball joint glue is setting right now.

that colony kit is no joke, it has 3 large clear windows that have to be masked and everything is held together with these weird pegs, and you have to paint the inside. It's 13 pieces just for the colony and flaps, not counting the docks or the stand. It's not like 2 halves you just put together.

Yep! I snagged the HG the other day. It's a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
The relative lack of color separation's forcing me to git gud with my painting. I plan on redoing some of the paint apps tomorrow, since I did an admittedly shitty job on the ankles.

I had an idea for a project and maybe you guys could help me out.
I wanna make an RG Nu Gundam ver Ka using the MK II as the base.
Edits off the top of my head:

So since I need a 1/100 scale building for my current project I will need to scratchbuild it. So to help with scaling it I picked up a HO scale building form model railroading to use as a reference since it is fairly close (HO is roughly ~1/87 scale).
I'm going to use it as painting practice for buildings too since I've never painted one before. Should be fun.

Besides the the parts that are used from the Barbatos, the inner frame of Kimaris is pretty nicely detailed. The amount of detailing that Bandai put onto the armor and inner frame is pretty great imo

The Dom hits the GM with its bazooka to knock the beam spray gun out of its hand, but the GM gets the beam saber out before the Dom can follow up.
It's pretty much the opposite of the average GM scene where the GM pilot has excellent reaction speed instead of gaping vacantly at his opponent.

If you're patient and don't particularly care about having your thing right away it's fine. All the complaining is from people used to having their item shipped from their own country and receiving it in a matter of days. This is stuff coming from overseas, so the most cost effective way of shipping things over is to put it in a freight box with other stuff, then load it into a ship with a ton of other freight boxes.

I'm very happy for you, please try to add detail like this more often with panel lines at least. Eventually you can make it to seams, and then you can break out paint for vents/faces and other small details. Eventually you'll even make it to full paintjobs. If you spent half the time you do tripping on here on that instead then you'd be in business.

Runners are very stressed when cut with nippers, you would have to repaint them or they'll just look like twisted white plastic tubes. Just work on detailing your kits. For effects, paper mache can work but that's too much work for you.

If there are room on planes that can fit your parcel, they would do so (but not priority). The rest of the trip are handled by economical means (a.k.a. by land or sea).
Typically if the destination is NA, the trip across Pacific Ocean would be by air. Then the rest of the trip would be by land.

It's....not good. I have one. The legs are shit, the head is shit, it needs paint to look alright. Plastic is the old mid-90s bandai polystyrene which is kinda meh in comparison to their modern polystyrenes, On the other hand, it IS usually pretty damned cheap.
