Personally, Banagher is my favorite protagonist. Some valid criticism is that he doesn't have as much depth as Kamille for example, but considering the length of the series compared to Zeta, that's actually perfect.

Honestly the Stark Jegan guy showed off more piloting skills than Kobe Byarlant. A lot of the Byarlant's moves were just suit features fired off at old OYW suits, whereas Jegan had to fly through a funnel storm and saberfight a suit twice its size.
