omg this is Seed/Destiny Remaster level of new scenes (aka LOTS OF POINTLESS REDRAWS).

A number of the cuts in the 1st episode were redrawn many are too hard to notice unless you are watching them both at the same time. The TV ver of Unicorn now has some better redrawn scenes than the Blu Ray
>>
>>14075604
>omg

Source? Are you sure the reason they're hard to notice is because, you know, they're not there and you're just imagining it?

The TV one was redrawn for timing purposes and, coincidentally now has more detail than the Blu Ray.

Only the second half of that is particularly good. The first half is rubbish.

Even then, though, it would look out of place in Unicorn as it is now.

It was just a thing animated for novel promos, so it was pretty rough. The point was more that they do that kind of scene rather than the standing-still and slow-foot-forward thing, not literally copy-paste that.

Funnily enough, that's exactly what they did for the Kshatriya/Unicorn fight sequence in the new op, redrew it frame for frame. Rotating Kshatriya and all.

I can't recall if this fight was like this in the OVAs or if it was slightly redone for the TV run.
>>
>>14075780
Its OP only animation
>>

Looks pretty identical to the OVA there, but I don't think that bit's aired yet anyway.

It's actually a slightly modified sequence lifted from the old book pv.

According to Fukui, the original author, Banagher in the anime had less constraint and conflict then in the novel, so they didn't need to make Unicorn struggle to launch.
>>
>>14075780
i just made that webm to BTFO wit studio. It's from the episode 3 OVA, one of the scenes where sunrise goes ape shit and animated on 1s

All the possibilities and even so

Just imagine Banagher about to finish in Mineva the she says

ignore the shitty music, the animation from the new OP is based on the choreography from the novel's PV, it predates the OVA animation but was brought back for the OP. which is kind of shity IMO, the ED is much better done
>>

>>
>>14077790
Fuck wrong guy being quoted
>>
>>14077765
Yeah the Unicorn VS Kshatriya part in the Unicorn opening seems to be based on that part in the novel PV, using the same choreography and whatever, but it's redone in CG. Pretty cool.
>>
>>14078715
Is it really CG? Wow
>>
>>14078768
Looks it. One thing's for sure is that it's definitely redone. You can see the new decals on Unicorn if you pause it
>>
Was the Novel better than the OVA? The first three OVA episodes were pretty great but everything kinda felt rushed from episodes 4 to 7

It's CG. The Unicorn is pretty blatantly CG, but it's such a complicated design to begin with and it's generally decent quality CG. Kshatriya is too in that sequence but blends in well. In the run of the show most of the main machines that are complex designs swap back and forth to varying results.

Remains to be seen how extensive the revisions are. But while the novel PV footage was kinda potato tier, the CG'd OP version is a decided overcorrection.

>You will immediately cease and not continue to access the site if you are under the age of 18.
>>
>>14080628
That's not a meme, that's the opinion of basically everyone who reads books. Films are not bad but film adaptions of books are almost without exception terrible.
>>
>>14080688
Only applies to shitty American films because they're made by retarded Americans for retarded Americans.
>>
>>14080700
It applies to most foreign films too, but to be fair they're usually significantly better and have a higher hit/miss ratio. It's just hard for a movie format to convey the nuances that exist in books.

Good directors (not meme hack directors) usually do original movies. When they adapt something they will change it to fit the form of a good film.

Good authors do not write books to be made into movies. They write good books and it is on the other side to turn it into a good movie.

You rarely get a good book that's adapted by a good director into a good film.

>>
>>14080707
>It's just hard for a movie format to convey the nuances that exist in books.
The same could be said about books. Bookfags tend to be focus only on things that the two mediums share. You guys ignore the fact that movies make for a much more immersive experience and that offsets its simplified literary value.

Books don't have visuals, music, or sound. Describing those things to you is a much weaker experience than actually seeing and hearing things.
>>
>>14081272
This post is fucking retarded

Where small things you might notice in the moment of screen time it gets could be broken down and described deeply and poetically in script
>>
>>14081272
>movies make for a much more immersive experience

Yeah, no. For exemple, I never got cold while watching a movie take place in cold place. But when I read a book? I start to imagine what the characters go through and I feel a chill.

>Describing those things to you is a much weaker experience than actually seeing and hearing things.

Again, no. Sometime seeing something that is suposed to be a beautiful city or a scary monsters will make you think "so, that's it, uh?".

And where something could be described deeply and poetically in a script could be recreated just as beautifully in a scene without being garishly distracting.

Plz no bully

>>14081287
> I never got cold while watching a movie take place in cold place. But when I read a book? I start to imagine what the characters go through and I feel a chill.
Really? Because I have. I've also felt sad, cried, happy, and the whole gamut of emotions while watching films.

>Sometime seeing something that is suposed to be a beautiful city or a scary monsters will make you think "so, that's it, uh?".
>He doesn't jack off to helicopter shots

Movies have as much value as books. There's way more shit books out there than there are shit movies but it's probably the same ratio of shit to great.
>>

Hollywood doesn't make films for America anymore. That shit stopped in 2003.

Every film is made for the international market now. It is literally everyone else's fault for shitty Hollywood films.

Marvel films are your fault. You and China need to be exterminated for the sake of film.
