The gunners in Dungeon and Fighter were pretty /m/. Even had an exploding robot called RX-78.

How /m/ would it have to be to be considered /m/? The character just has a lost-tech vibrosword? Or some kind of support tinkerer with traps and devices doing the actual fighting for the character? Or a golem summoner?
Unless it's a cyborg world setting, in which case all the classes are /m/.

Engineers. Most of the time, anyway, sometimes you get really lame engies like FF4 Cid whose job just meant his main weapon was a hammer and his main skill was FUCKING ANALYZE WHAT THE HELL
There's also the times where a class is a full blown robot but those are pretty rare in games where you can pick your class.

Etrian Odyssey 3's Yggdroid class were straight up androids. Etrian Odyssey 4's Arcanist class are seemingly cyborgs/androids, at the very least they have doll joints.
SaGa had robots as a race/class and SaGa 2 at least had a remake on the DS.
