Finally about to start listening to the translated audio dramas on this.
How much in terms of reference art is there of the cast/setting on this? MAHQ has the mechs pretty well covered, but outside of a few characters on Gundam Wikia, haven't found much else.
I don't know very much about GG other than of course the char clone thing and that its non-canon now, but I do really, really like the mechanical designs I've seen for it.

if you look around a bit on google images you'll find some gaia gear images linked to some old forums and fansites that are still up,I remember finding a really detailed one with most of the mecha and a few scans of magazine pages.
as for the characters I'm not sure if there are any references,but searching in japanese might help
the anime is coming right after crossbone so just wait for that

I don't think it's ever been officially declared non-canon. Which isn't hard, since it's never had to be, being a book/audio-drama and not an animation. It conflicts with G-Savior, but that doesn't really gets much acknowledgement either.

Since one of G-Reco's designers openly said they took cues from GG's Man Machines (for the G-IT Lab if I remember correctly), and since G-Reco seems to flip the bird to AUs I don't see what there is stopping it being a part of canon.

The first is a comprehensive scanning of the novel's pages, the second is a comprehensive scanning of a Mechanical File.

Did anyone actually say they put design cues from GG in G-Reco? I only discovered that the term "Man-Machine" showed up on drawings of Venus mobile suits (whatever you call those drawings of characters and mecha on white pages with short paragraphs surrounding the pictures), which could just be a fun little Easter egg.

I can't really think of anything in G-Saviour that overtly contradicts Gaia Gear. Gaia Gear's environment is improving but still fragile enough to accommodate G-Saviour's food crisis.
Unless Gaia Gear's epilogue says something like "And then followed a century of uninterrupted peace," or maybe it makes absolutely no sense to go back to mobile suits after Gaia Gear implied man-machines were superior and made mobile suits obsolete. (What even is the defining distinction between MSs and MMs? I've seen things implying it's a mechanical difference, and not just a rebranding.)

all G-Saviour's important backstory happened within five years before G-Saviour. The collapse of the Federation, the rise of CONSENT, the Illuminati, and the Settlement Freedom League or whatever it was called, all occurred from 0218 to 0223. So the existence of MaHA and Z Zeon/Metatron doesn't conflict with G-Saviour's backstory, assuming Gaia Gear ends with the abolishment of MaHA and Metatron having no reason to exist.
In what's definitely a pleasant coincidence, the construction G-Saviour's Side 8, Gaia, was begun the same year Gaia Gear takes place. Which I like to imagine was a shout-out to Affranchi by whoever was responsible for Side 8. "We reject the Earth Reverse Immigration Plan, in fact we're going to build a whole new Side, and we'll name it after the man-machine that saved the Earth Sphere from MaHA."

I almost missed these entirely. These will do VERY nicely for helping put faces to some of these characters.

Gundam does not have a canon anyway. The closest is animated materials being deemed "official". Japanese fans don't really give a shit about what is or isn't canon, and I find that attitude healthier.
When you're not worrying about what's canon or not, you get to have fun just following the story.

Tineline is pretty good, only thing It needed is to not just put 223 as a transition but as a random gap for the other Shows as "Black History", and the stuff from Origin and possibly Thunderbolt if ever confirmed Canon.

Just the radio drama, and only three-fourths of it, steadily progressing to completion.
As far as I know there could be an English translation of the novel itself, a long-forgotten text file in some ancient cyber-stratum. There are summaries on Wikipedia and the Gundam Wiki, and timeline tidbits elsewhere.
