A fucking School festival in the moon and rape.
I actually enjoyed the first half. Not because it's good, it's definitely not, but because it hit the right mix of stupid insane twists every week for me to enjoy it. The second half got too serious and fell flat by comparison.

I disagree, it held itself together rather competently. If you wanted pure nonsense sure you'd be disappointed but it conducts its duality in a manner that illustrates a lot more wit was put into the show than you'd think.
It's very much rooted in the trappings of gothic horror though, which makes for a strong turn off for those not into supernatural dorama.

I mean, I'm not one of the people who bashes on Shouko or anything. I get that Haruto ruining his own life for no reason other than his own martyr complex is entirely intentional. I just don't really enjoy that kind of protagonist, and while the first half was entertaining enough to make up for it, the more somber tone of the second half was much less enjoyable in my book.
