I finally watched the last ep just now and yeah, I agree. Considering the eventual fate of Germany and continental Europe generally, this was a very happy ending. I didn't mind, I rather like happy endings (or even bittersweet ones, given the deaths), but it certainly didn't do anything to show how Theo became the Master later, aside from the line Anon mentioned.
Still, I think I also agree with the folks from the previous thread who said this was better than TE. The animation was generally better, and IMO it was better paced and plotted, I didn't get the same thematic whiplash of BETA eating everyone and then swimsuits the next episode I got with TE. Speaking for military aspects, they're all under the umbrella of the European Union Forces anyways. Kind of like a regional UN-lite, except only for Europe.
Separate governments exist for both nations, though, so there should be something significant enough for West Germany to simply not have absorbed East Germany's citizens and government in exchange for better terms of social aspects and economic/re-integration aid for former East citizens, etc. after the latter was formally considered evicted from their national territory.
I'm more interested in how loaning personnel out as mercenaries helps to keep the East Germans afloat. Terrorist groups aside, there must be a third-party demand that isn't the UN, on the frontlines or as a show of force in a city, if it's that profitable. Problem is, if the UN, with its usage of military forces from standalone exiled nations, and regional superorganizations like the EU/UFC/MEU and the military forces from the nations that they are comprised of, are already in charge of force distribution on the frontlines respective to their regions, then where does this demand come from?

They don't need to field PMCs (and East Germany is unlikely to have any, even considering how they've spent 20 years among accursed capitalists), they can field their own regular troops. They just need feed some plausible bullshit to the UN about how their troops are unavailable right now because they're on a vacation and totally not anywhere near Suez. Oh, and the TSFs and tanks are gone for... overhauls. Yup, repairs. Again, taking place not anywhere near Suez.
A less contrived solution would be for their employers to provide the hardware, which is what generally happens when illegal mercenary activity is involved. See Ethiopia-Eritrean war, for instance. Ex-Soviet mercs were the only ones flying the valuable Ethiopian Su-27s and Eritrean MiG-29s (the latter also being conclusively proven to be a worthless piece of shit in the process).

I don't think they'll go as far as fielding MBTs, TSFs are a lot easier to walk around with and easier to hide on emptied-out tanker ships in that you don't need to roll to docks and unfold a ramp. You could keep a full battalion just by running three "tankers" for a "E State Shipping" logistics company.

They aren't. They're a strategic replacement for fighter planes like how battleships in naval warfare were obsoleted by carriers IRL. They can land anywhere, anytime, of their own choosing, without requirement of specific ground. That's how the smaller navies can support large-scale landing operations, you just need several of a big enough boat to get them close enough to shore. They don't need a runway, they don't need a landing pad, they fly and stop all the time in combat. You can't do that with a fighter plane, you even need a specific ship class, that being a full carrier, to land one on the seas. These reasons are why the EU is shifting to a TSF focus, since all it takes to screw with landbound tanks and artillery on culling operations is a BETA tunnel opening beside them. TSFs can at least boost away. Full-sized actual TSF carriers are for when you want to spend months away, not a handful of sorties.
Any PMCs they front would be clandestinely supported by the East German government anyways, that's their whole purpose for mercenary work which are really just NVA personnel in civilian wear out into the world. A large enough tanker that can be used to store a full squadron is a dime a dozen both in the military and the civilian world of ML, nobody's going to bat an eye at one or more out of dozens of "supply ships" from both UN military and private logistic operators hanging around regional hotspot waters. In fact, that's exactly what the USA did in their attempted retrieval of Soviet espers.
But, well, let's just say it's my fault for still thinking that we're talking East Germany instead of actual PMCs. I do support the personnel-only theory for the fact that it's less of a hassle and hiring nations are probably looking for experience rather than line fodder; also, it's already happened in TE, so it has an actual working example.

TMC is a sister line of the A3 Volks toys, those figures are just meant to simply stand there, they don't have much articulation and are quite fragile
for the actual Type 00 kit, you can check dalong too, there are lots of those due to the color variants and the 1.5 version, which has improved hips articulation and extra stuff

The A3 figures are straight up prepainted limited articulation statues. Good for lineart accuracy but shit for anything else, sometimes even standing them can be a bitch (LOOKING AT YOU, TOMCAT).
The TMC line are like "let's take the same molds, but cheap out on the materials."
Also weapons are molded to hands and pylons, in contrast with the Revoltech figures which in a further display of absolute opposite design focus are actually capable of being posed.

For figures, the TSF itself is fitted together.
For both Revoltech and Volks you'll need to fit on the pylons and JUs, as well as swap in hands where necessary.
Honestly you're overthinking it if you're in the market for either Revos or Volks. The only question you need to answer is if you plan on fiddlefarting with your figure a lot, or barely at all.
And I guess "what TSF do I want?" since there's stuff that's exclusive to one line or the other +/- availability in model kit form but you're not in the market for kits so yeah...
Personally my opinion is always go for Revoltech first unless you really REALLY like the design so much that you want a lineart accurate statue, whenever you have the option.

Tomcat and I assume the rest of the line around that time definitely showed that someone learned a few things with past models what with moving the JU connector to a clicky joint where before it was that god forsaken plastic arm.
Oh and the skirt armor mounting to a polished metal peg was a good one too, until you remember that Revos use a revolver joint to mount skirts which means their skirts have some actual articulation while Volks figures only rock up and down.
This is what happens when you design with a particular goal in mind. Volks wanted accuracy, Kaiyodo wanted playability, and both designs benefit and suffer in their own ways for those choices.
