Rewatching the movie, Setsuna certainly grew up into a handsome young man. I really love his character growth throughout the series, from Captain Autism to GUNDAM.

I don't know, I was pretty turned off with them showing up with THIS IS WHAT YOU GUYS GET FOR RELYING ON VEDA when Lockon Mk. II uses Haro to help him pilot, and Alle has spent the entire series being useless because his seperate personality/pilot crutch wasn't there to bail him out until now.
But then again, the whole battle with the Gagas/Ali jobbing really turned the whole final battle on it's side for me. By the end of it, I was rooting for 00-Raiser to finally get trashed, and thankfully, I got it.

I felt like a Sonic fan running into Sonic Generations. Just a happy, GOOD feeling. It's been so long, but this is it. Gundam is GOOD again. No masked men, no characters sitting around for jobbing, an awesome and original finale for Gundam.

I have to admit, when I first saw the promo materials I thought the Flag looked kind of silly and transformed into a helicopter because of the rotary shield. Then I fell in love with it when watching the series.

I honestly can't think of making anyone a masked man in 00 without it being a completely terrible idea, or creating a new character fro the start. Gundam 00 started off fine without that shit, and throwing it in there is literally for the sake of pandering to old Gundam tropes.
Which isn't awful in itself unless you're not going to bother doing anything with it other than "Hey! He's got a mask! He's special, right?" Which is what Gundam continues to do.
The thing with Graham is that he wasn't after Exia to duel him with a sword, he was just after Gundam in general. Up until the end of S1, he fought with Lockon more than he did Setsuna. Then we slap as mask on him, and now we have to have this sword rival horseshit, and fuck if he's going to actually do any damage to 00-Raiser.
Ali already has a mask, it's the person he pretends to be when he's out in the civilian world.

Ali didn't want a world of eternal warmongering. He didn't want his own personal army. He cared about two things in show. Killing folk (and not even in the having an epic duel like Graham. His reaction to CB wasn't "Those idealistic fools are gonna ruin my world of war" but "Oh yeah those Celestial whatever folks. I can kill them right?"
