We thought it might be an edgy train wreck due to the joint efforts of Okada and Nagai. Once the PV came out, everyone was cautiously optimistic. It was like they read our minds. No beamspam? Child soldiers who get shit done? Mobile Workers? The "knightly theme"? Orga being suspicious as all hell, getting us hyped for possible infighting? The first episode was exciting as hell. The handshake, the subtle details in the background, the perfect reveal of the Graze, Barbatos popping out of nowhere, RAISE YOUR FLAGS (waiting for an erection). We saw some hamfisted drama and edginess incoming with shit like the kids getting beaten daily, the kid taking a 360 noscope headshot, and so forth but we could handle it. We were prepared to accept IBO with its flaws as long as it kept delivering on the good stuff. Only afterwards did the hate start to crop up as our fears were realized.
There's only one person with amnesia here, and he's been posting the same thing on IBO threads for a week.

And Ein wasn't all that beat up but wound up on life support.On the surviving side of things, Ein spent a while with a broken arm, the Ryusei Go pilot was injured and lay around in a box for a while, Gali Gali got a cut once or twice, and Orga survived Carta.
