Just finished watching Ninninger a week ago and I thought it was great! Lifelong fan of Power Rangers but this was my first Sentai. Share your thoughts on Ninninger and recommend another sentai I should check out.

Kakuranger's great if you want to continue the ninja theme, plus it's a nice series on it's own.
Sun Vulcan I always recommend because it's fantastic and what got me into Sentai in the first place.
Liveman and Jetman are good if you want something that's a tad more serious. Just a tad though, it's still sentai.

Is ToQger any good? I watched the first episode of that a while ago and thought it was okay, but wasn't sure if I should watch more.

I'd say you can't really judge a Sentai by it's Power Rangers counterpart. The stories and characters are more or less entirely different. I've heard that Dino Charge keeps one or two plotlines from Kyoryuger (which is really great, by the way) but it's overall a totally different show.

That being said. Sorry Ninninger was your first.
It was a weak show that was basically a fill in for this year's sentai.
Some cool ones to check out would be Jetman, Dairanger, Carranger, Megaranger, GoGoV, and Gingman for cool classics
for newer stuff Dekaranger is always a blast and if you are looking for fun try out Magiranger and work your way up from there!
Personally, I would skip Goseiger as it was a filler season like Ninninger.
I would also highly recommend Go-Busters.
If you liked "RPM" It's definately something disney could of used to make "RPM2"
As for Gokaiger. I know alot of people recommend it but, it really spoils alot of the older shows you might check out. So I would personally check it out once you have a few sentais under your belt.
Or, You could start with the latest Series, ZyuOhGer which is only 6 episodes in right now. It's probably the best sentai I've seen in awhile!

It's not really a filler season. None of them are. It's just not well liked due to Takaharu's poor acting. Compare it to having a band with an unpopular front-man, they're always going to be considered shit even if they pump out a few good songs.

That said, there are changeman, flashman, maskman, liveman, zyuranger, timeranger, dekaranger, gekiranger and shinkenger at the top.
For something more recent there's.go-busters. The current show, zyuohger is pretty good.

Filler is a terrible term for an episodic show. Sentai is not a show meant to be heavy on plot. Plot is a nice extra, but the show is episodic in nature and so it does not make it necessarily make it filler
