Started Watching Betterman 2 days ago, about 10 episodes in.
it sounded interesting due to it being horror mecha and being connected to Gaogaigar.
I'm really liking it so far.
what are /m/'s thoughts?

Betterman is nice. The story is slow, but really interesting and characters are great. I also really loved how well the lighting and camera angles were used to estabilish the mood.
The OST is nice as well. It's just so haunting and climatic.

The late 90's sunrise had a few of them such as this, Infinite Ryvius and Argento Soma.
The noodle couple were better than the protagonists and didn't deserve such a bad end.

The Handheld games have been working with the 'unusual' titles lately, so maybe it will shown up again in the next entry.

I finished it recently and I feel like there's some hints that it's unfinished/unpolished.
Things like:
1) Betterman never joins like you would expect from a character of his type, though the Kakuseijins at least get their upgrades.
2) Escaflowne has Assault, a Spirit Command that allows you to use non-P attacks after movement... despite the fact that all his attacks are P. That's either kind of sloppy or implying that it was supposed to get an upgrade where that would make sense.
I also hope you fucking love Dunbine because it feels like half of the stages involve the series.
