I think most people do.
Although, Strike Freedom does have some very interesting ideas. The swivelling railguns are really cool, and the resculpting of the armor is an overall improvement. I also think that the two beam rifles serves the Freedom's mobility-based fighting style far better than the shield and rifle.
The tacky gold and the docking beam rifles are pretty gay though. Dragoons are also poorly implemented and make the wings look gay.

The folding railguns are probably my favorite part of Freedom's design, they look much cleaner folded up than Strike Freedom's.

The worst thing about GN drives is that they fucked up the awesome direction existing MSes were going in, which was a move away from big heavy walking gun platforms and towards these incredibly light, fast graceful machines that could transform. CB losing exclusive access to GN drives led to the awfully generic Aheads, one of those rare mobile suits where the officer version looks shittier than the grunt version.
