XV25 Stealthsuit is a nice design.
But the XV8 Battlesuit torso is just some hexagonal shapes stuck to each other tapped off with legs more insubstantial than Tau melee combat doctrine, so I have no idea what OP is rambling on about.
At least the battlesuits following the XV8 attempt to design more functional-looking chestplates, so it's not all that bad.

Atomic robot is a modern sci-fi masterpiece but I'd hardly call it mecha. It's got one regular android and while mecha do show up they're rarely the focus.

reminds of that time when 1st time i actually near to wh40k by firing up the dark crusade at my cousin's computer.
Tau looked asthetically pleasing to my eyes and pretty much assumed that they are race of robots.
Years later I do some wh40k net surfing and was disappointed to see that those were actually battlesuits wore by blueburry skin typical ayy lamos.
