For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, dont make the new people worry!

Using Vallejo primer with an Iwata neo air compressor is causing alot of sputtering, even though the paint tends to look ok once it dries.
Is the compressor just shit or do I need to thin this stuff?

The GP base arm goes weak quickly anyways. Its a direct plastic on plastic connection with no screws to keep it tight like on an action base. Don't worry too much about it.

But seriously, why recolor if you're just doing random accents? Also, the gold and bronze feel really inconsistent. As for the shoulders, I feel like you'd need an entirely different color scheme to warrant the multiple tones.

So, I just touched the left image, but I think that if you're going to break up the very pure color aesthetics of the Barbatos, you have to go farther for it to work. I added more gray to the pauldrons, in another shade, and borrowed your existing grays to add more color for the leg thrusters and the feet sections.

That's pretty neat actually, gives off a sorta knightish feel. Funny note I actually gave the leg thrusters the same color scheme but though it stood out too much but with the color added to the feet I think it balances out rather nicely.

I don't have any MG GMs myself, though if I had to choose one besides the 2.0 I'd get the MG GM Sniper.
It's mostly the same mold as the old Ground GM kit and has all of its accessories, just the sniper comes with green plastic, different dry apply decals, and a couple kit specific parts like a larger backpack, a drape, and a little power silo.

Badck when they were doing hype promotion for IBO with all the development stuff, the guy who designed the Barbatos likened the design to a young warrior. One that hasn't really matured and come into his own. Between that analogy, and the way Graze-chan exists for Barbatos to undress her and steal her clothes, I can't stop thinking of the Barbatos as an RPG character just picking up loot in a dungeon.

I usually sperg out when colours are used for both upper and lower panels, but the grey shoulders mostly work there. I'd make the head match, for knightly continuity purposes, but otherwise fine.
That said, I've always hated how the Barbatos (and by extension Parade Gundams in general) have primary colours all out the arse. Here's my version, I washed out the yellow and orange as I assume they're intended to be gold and bronze respectively, and made the blue more in line with the colour I'd personally use (Tamiya Deep Metallic Blue).

Got got Char's zaku and tallgese both MG's as a birthday present to myself. My other builds i've just snapped togeather with minimal detailing like lego's, just cause i wanted to build shit. But I'm going to take my time with thees. I have a few questions though. Do you guys paint before or after you snap out the parts? You can either do partial assembly or part by part; I'd recommend taking apart an old HG and using it as a tester first to see what you like better.
Painting the inner frame can sometimes lead to things not fitting right due to paint adding a little extra between connections, and can reduce mobility.

The way I see it you could either use a standard hinge joint but have it peg where the elbow meets the forearm so that it can rotate below the elbow. But if that seems to difficult or just want it to be solid Id say think of it as a hand, the upper "skull" being the fingers while the lower "jaw" being the thumb. Probably the worse explanation I could give... sorry.

and I mentioned before, I'm pretty sure it's your compressor. From what I've read that particular compressor puts out a max 15PSI (which I doubt is consistent) That combined with that particular primer (IE tip dry out to wazoo) maybe your issue. It may behoove you to clean out your airbrush thoroughly, thin the primer further or both.

The IBO line so far has looked spectacular and straightforward forward easy to build with no gimmicks like a lot of other lines can't go wrong with any I think.
Started work on my custom 1/100 graze tonight by eorking to add a cockpit hatch. Using a Flit pilot from AGE-1Normal. I've been going over previous episodes in the show and have gotten a pretty decent idea of what sort of detail to add in.

Just finished up my first gunpla kit. Build time was about 8 hours over two nights (I don't really have a workspace or proper tools yet). At first I was just going to forego panel lining, but when I had it next to my RD Shining Gundam figure and looked at the lines on it, I decided to go back and add them in. I know it's only a HG kit, but I feel pretty good on how it turned out.
Any critiques or recommendations for my next kit (I'd like to tackle something a bit more challenging) would be appreciated.

Thanks for the tips. Since it was my first kit I only had a few makeshift tools on hand (Sharpie, nail cutter, and a rather dull multi-tool), but I'll hit up a craft store before getting my next one. And what do you find to be better for cleaning up nubs? I tried filing them at first (only had a nail file), but it felt too tedious and I eventually just settled on trying to cut away as much as I could.

Using a good pair of nippers, cut relatively close to the end of the nub after first severing it from the runner a ways away. Then if there's a lot left, sand down with a low-grit sandpaper. After that sand with a higher grit until there's nothing left.

The Strike Freedom RG is really good practice with decals, all RGs are. The only problem I have is that the dragoons on the wings don't stay fully open, and that most of the gold parts on the body are shitty

Finally found time between work to finish the OOB build of this guy, hopefully if the weather stays nice I'll get to do some detailing and topcoat this weekend. Gotta say I love the color scheme, and every ORIGIN kit I've built so far has really had a nice quality; I'm really excited for the prototype Dom and prototype high mobility Zaku that I've ordered.

Yeah, I know it was the first time I tried that method on a kit. Should have tried it on a HG.
I plan on cleaning it up and redoing the sand a bit lighter. Also re-sanding the kit with finer sand paper.

I started my sword graze kai project this morning. Going to go through and finish nub cleanup and sanding after the rest of the kit is snap fit. Probably going to sand the joints up too and then decide on a color scheme. Probably going with purple like I originally intended.
Should I top coat after panel lining or could I do that later? weather's not good to paint
