It's only okay mostly because it butchers the source material pretty badly by just cutting out huge chunks of plot and character development.
The animation is still pretty impressive for the most part at least.

On its own the anime isn't bad. As an adaptation it's awful though, with the worst being the lake arc. They compressed like 10 chapters of the manga down into just 2 episodes. And those weren't 10 page chapters like in a weekly series either.
From what I've seen of the anime its not too great
