This my childhood Gundam.I still think it's enjoyable.
Anything is enjoyable if you turn off your brain.
Nostalgia also helps.

Destiny is a fucking riot if you take it for the disaster it is.

I'm sorry anon.
I lucked out and got G.
First Gundam thread? Hell first /m/ even? Probably be beast wars for me.

First Gundam is Gundam 00 for me. I still call it my favorite AU Gundam, with Gundam The Origin the Manga my favorite UC.
I had UC Gundam downloaded and was already going to try it, but Gundam 00 just really scratched an itch for me. I want more interesting politics in my mecha damnit ;-; I accept its flaws and the Second Season isn't as good, but the first season is an interesting take on Gundam and its themes while being its own thing.

>Origin is UC

Is Origin not UC? I legitimately didn't know, sorry.
This is my early 20s Gundam.I still think it's enjoyable.

Gundam Wing, which meant it was also my introduction to a lot of bad self-insert fanfictuon, the idea of yaoi, the existence of fujoshi (though we didn't know the term for it back then), all sorts of crap that made the late 90s internet such a disaster.
The english dub makes it much better.
>that Va who voices Rau
in hindshight after rewatching it SEED's entire purpose is basically "how many soap opera tropes can we cram into giant robot anime"

Origin is pretty much in the same boat as Thunderbolt, where it's set in the UC but an alternate version of it.

I loved the part where Kira just ejects the Strike packs and stabs the shit out of enemies using his really small knives. It's a real shame he got the Freedom.
I also liked the druggies and the sheer scale of the final battle. It felt really grand and crazy as a kid.
Might be nostalgia talking though, haven't rewatched it yet.
