Being a bunch of other series ms parts slapped into one custom was the point of The End. He took the Cruel gundam which was literally different ms parts slapped together like something out of a /m/ custom lineart thread and streamlined the appearance. It never pretended to be OC like transient.

I've been doing Eva designs for aquestI'm running over onAnonKun.I'm using this flash file to basically do most of the work, but I like how most of the recolors have come out so far. Since there isn't a recolor thread, I figure I'll just dump them here.
Starting off with Unit 00. I went with a bare-bones, intentionally dull color scheme, to really amp up the "test unit" feel. The idea is that this thing clearly wasn't supposed to be seeing actual deployment, and I wanted the design to reflect that.

This is the same unit, retrofitted to be more up to date with the addition of newer evangelion units. Again, fairly dull, low-key, and simple. After all, why waste the NERV budget on painting an eva?

For Unit 01, I went with a more Deus Ex-style color scheme. I wanted to avoid conventional protagonist paintjobs much like the canon Unit 01 did with its distinctive purple-and-green palette, and while in retrospect I don't like how dark it came out, I'm still satisfied with its general look.

I haven't decided which color scheme I want to go with for Unit 02. Both are shout-outs: the first is for Getter Robo, the latter for Genocyber. I do kind of depart from canon a bit in terms of actual design- the forearm wings for Unit 02 contain two blades which can be extended as arm blades, or detatched and hooked up to hilts (carried in the shoulder pylons) to form a pair of short swords/machetes (I haven't decided which yet). I was also considering a Mazinkaiser color scheme, but it doesn't really translate well to an Eva unit.

Unit 03's color also isn't decided yet. The first two are supposed to be macross-esque, but the third is a shout-out to the Hambrabi because of pointy heads. I didn't like Unit 05's design at all outside of the head, which I thought would be cool for some sort of scout or recon unit. So in this timeline, Unit 03 has a bunch of advanced sensors in its head that allows it to track angels if they decide to cloak or go underwater or get out of view otherwise.

And finally there's Unit 04. Not much to say here, other than that the design is an obvious homage to MD Geist, which I have to be the only person on the planet who unironically enjoys it. I still haven't decided how I feel about this color scheme, since it feels unnecessarily dark. I'll probably want to redo it later, but it'll be ages before the unit is even introduced.

I know I'm kidding. I don't like the idea of a recon/scout unit personally. They're right next to NERV HQ and they have every eye humanly possible on the battlefield. Anything small and light enough to put on an Eva wouldn't be as powerful as the satellite or ground cameras and sensors at their disposal. I don't know the background of your game but an Eva on support role is an Eva wasted in my eyes.
Speaking of, all your models have visors instead of eyes proper. Any reason why that is? It makes the menacing, living Evas give off a spaceman vibe instead.
Color choices are autistic but well within acceptable tolerances for mecha OC. Carry on.
