Among the film's attributes that were panned were the background music sounding "eerily similar to the background of the Care Bears Movie, ethereal and fluffy and jarring and likely the result of a five-year-old banging on a synthesizer," the casting of Mamiya Kurumi as the mecha mascot, Link, who reminding the reviewer of Jar Jar Binks "but with a squeaky Japanese woman's voice," and otherwise talented actresses playing the voices of the Guard of Rose being "uniformly mediocre and less interesting than the girls of the Gall Force", and character designs being bad and characterizations worse. The reviewer ended his enumeration of multiple flaws by stating (sic) "This really IS the worst anime I've ever seen. 6 Angels has all the elements that could have made a great movie, except for the greatness."

I dunno about Nanoha, but Symphogear is literally just musical power armor, and two of em pull mecha or totally-not-Dendrobium packs out of their asses at various points. If you're gonna nitpick that hard, then Tekkaman isn't /m/ either besides Pegas.

Nanoha doesn't get very /m/ until the third season where Nanoha and Fate become gay mothers. That one ramps up the tech factor.

Nanoha is just a magical girl show. In StrikerS, there's some mechanical weapons they use, but that isn't nearly enough to make it /m/. And yes, I know about the robot enemies at the end of the first season. It's just a few robot grunts they fight which hold no importance, and that doesn't affect the genre of the show.
Symphogear could be debated because their magical girl transformations have more of a mechanical power suit-like feel to them, but it's still on the low side when it comes to /m/ material.
And references don't mean jack shit. Every other anime references Gundam, that doesn't make it a mecha show.
