Watching the 90's OVA. Liking it a lot. Nicely animated. Love Birdy's design.

I expected a series with just Birdy the Android kicking ass. I didn't know about the body merging premise. Is this true for all the series or just this one?

It feels a lot like Spider-man with a mix of some teenager's personal life mixed with super hero action.
