Think about it:
If you kill someone with a sword, a gun, a knife, a club, a crowbar, or whatever other weapon you are just a murderer.
But if you kill someone with an AXE, you are an AXE MURDERER.
No other weapon gets that, it's in a class by itself.

The big joke is the guy was just wacking at a random spot of the ship and just going after the fully exposed bridge. You don't even need a heat hawk to smash that in.

Why not something like the GN Sword II onwards? Or the Schwert Gewehr, Alondight and Exaliburs from SEED and DESTINY? Physical blades that can also produce a beam blade are the most practical.

I don't recall the anti-ship blades from CE having physical cutting edges, except maybe for a pointed tip. The part that runs parallel to the beam blade is a flat surface rather than a tapered or sharpened edge.

It's just the Alondight/Arondight that I'm thinking off. The other two just have a physical blade at the tip.
