Why does this series not get the attention it deserves???
I just finished the series last night, and holy shit I was surprised how much I liked it.
sure most of the mobile suits in the series are fairly unoriginal.. but the story line is refreshing for a gundam series.
it is an acquired taste, /m/ is Tumblr A Gundam territory, you are not allow to like it.

Except for Heero none of them were in games with Garrod when they started having crossover lines for characters, or in the case of Domon, in a voiced game with him at all.
Why Heero who always has tons of lines, has nothing for Garrod though is a mystery, although I don't think Heero has support lines for any Gundam pilot outside his own series for some reason.

That's not the real reason. It was because of Gundam Fatigue. Gundam X was the 4th gundam show in 4 years. By that point the public had gotten tired of gundam. For a series that lived and died based on model sales, it suffered. Based on TV ratings it did quite well, equal to G and Wing. But the toy sales really suffered.
That's why nowadays gundam usually follows 2 24 episode seasons per title (00, Build Fighters, IBO); to let the public rest and refresh between seasons.
