So i just watched Armageddon, and I don't really like it. There were some good parts of course, but I'm just iffy with the mix and matching of the events of the saga. Also Saotome.

It's probably only work if they changed 2 & 3's pilot designs to be more of your stereotypical hot anime girl. Which would be a shame, since I like that they're not all supermodels.
They'd probably need a fair amount of fanservice as well, so that'd probably mean they'd get typical skintight pilot suits.

It has been done with a DP series before. Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera was a great example of that. Enbi-chan wasn't in the original manga, but in her spinoff. She was added to give spice to the show.

They literally genocide'd the Hyakki Empire in space in the first series. Dinosaurs were nearly bit the genocide bullet due to space rays. There was also normal genocide involving the proto-humans. Also space disease from Andromeda. Go is the only series where things don't get genocide.
