I pretty much solo'd the last 2 gb games with only a friend to point me (literally) in the right direction for certain parts, looks like here I won't have to let my OCD run too wild with only actual skill based ones being the main objective (those events with difficulty tiers make me curious), looks like I'll just be asking for stage numbers this time if required.
I only have that one friend I'd play with and playing with randoms, even the japanese, would have mixed results so trying to complete this as solo as possible (and with 90% of my collection being single player only it seems silly to get psn+ just for one title).

If I remember, someone posted the 4 different upgrade options on previous thread. My memory's a bit fuzzy but I think it's: single upgrade using other part or material (can inherit skill); bulk upgrade using many parts and/or material (skill won't be inherited), make new part from existing part (my guess this is like turning Wing Zero to Wing Zero EW or Proto Zero); and the last is simply give ability or skill using item (like using TM/HM on Pokemon).
And then there's also rarity level now though I don't think they have explained further what does more rare version of part excels compared to its lesser variant. But from game play videos above, seems like we can get parts, materials, and even weapon before even defeating the Elite and/or Ace unit.

I haven't got the game but just judging from other Bandai Namco games in the past: unless the game involves / requires DLC (free or paid), it typically does not care which region of PSN you play it with. Even new suits for Breaker 2 came out as a patch which of course disregard your region. But there has been no confirmation or information as to how Breaker 3 handles future additional content, so it is hard to say for sure now.

Okay so with further testing, I have tried the Barbatos Gundam again using its katana which also has a unique moveset. The triangle works fine for that. The game will kick you out if you use the Barbatos Gundam with its mace it seems..

Since there's no longer any recoil for hitting an enemy's shield, Double Sabers seem like they've been indirectly buffed as you can go full blender mode with basically no repercussions.
When equipping a shield, hit circle on it and you can manually decide its default location: On the Gunpla's back or on its left arm. You toggle them with the top menu's left and right. You control the individual placement (XYZ axis, rotation, scale) by using the trigger buttons to swap to that mode's menu.

Notice: When upgrading the rarity of a part or weapon, it can only go up one stage at a time (white -> green -> blue -> purple) so if you have a purple piece oyu want to replace with a white one, you had better keep some spare greens and blues to merge with before the original.
