I really don't think can care about any of these 72 gundam frames if theyre all going to use the same barbatos designs elements. The gusion and kimsris were interesting because they looked massively diferent from pretty much all gundam so far. I imagined all the frames would be as unique.
But really I think the truth is that the gundam frame was just the graze of its time with 72 minor variations

Bandai plans its releases like a year in advance and for new series they decide/make them based on lineart and notes from sunrise. Most likely they heard that McGillis was going to be the lead antagonist/rival/more important than gaelio so they gave his graze scwalbe the regular release.
Stuff like this happens sometimes. Remember how they kept advertising hg legilis's core fighter mode in all the ads and then it was never used in the series or even mentioned? Or how hg and mg banshee had the claw gimmick work incorrectly?

From what I can see, the chest is a Graze's back skirt modified by taking out the middle section. The shoulders are two separate pieces, the Graze's original underneath and a new piece on top. The rest not sure.

Chest is actually from the Legend BB Knight Gundam. Head crest, side skirts, and front skirts are from the R-Gyagya, shoulder additions are from the Gyan Vulcan.

I don't mind the exposed waist or arms of most IBO suits since with proper handling, especially the AV users, can avoid taking a hit. These things though. They are bulk without any point or seem to be anyways. Must be something hidden in there.

If they are tucked in there they would have to be mini arms like on the Thunderbolt frames. I can't see a gull Rebake arm fitting in there. Ein did fuck up Shino with that seemingly unbreakable cable, so maybe his new suit has cable launchers.
