The legs are mismatched, the arm looks like its entirely from a rodi and the big hand is attached to the shield for some reason so it's actually got three hands. But it's barely noticeable at first glance and despite it the asymmetry the design remains cohesive

I'm of the same mind. It's a pity; each new Gundam I keep wishing for Gundams I actually like so I can enjoy the kits, but honestly they've been either overwrought (SEED), boring for me (00), or just plain hate it (IBO) for me.
I really want to enjoy Gundams again. I'm at like my ninth or tenth Zaku now. I love them, but I want something else to enjoy building.

I like Barbatos' "4th form," but as far as IBO designs, I prefer the standard Kimaris. The problem is that there's so much recycled stuff in the designs. At least G-Reco's suits were mostly unique from design to design. Not everything used Jahannam parts or was a Jahannam variant.

Also I don't know whether you actually bothered to looked at the suit but the only thing really resembling a tradional gundam is the chest and a shoulder pad. Most of the suit is riffing off of barbatos design elements. And its got a round fucking spinner spinner rodi arm, three hands and asymmetric legs. It's done a better job than the Barbatos has at being a ms cobbled together out of found parts

When they said the Barbatos would be put back together out of spare parts over the course of the series, I didn't think they meant "slap some Graze shoulders on it until less than halfway through the series then have it completely resorted." I was under the impression that it would be a junker wearing parts and weapons from other mobile suits for most of the series.
Then "other suits" became Graze Variant #32 and I gave up.

MSV series confirmed for a Gundam Ace manga and a HJ photostory, begins on Spring. Chara designer draft by Yu Ito, scenario by Hajime Kamoshida. Argi? Mirage? is the Astaroth pilot, Volco? Wohlen? seems to handle the Astaroth parts.

-Gundam Astaroth: owned by Volco, Argi pilots it. The only original parts left are the head and the Gundam Frame, the rest of the armor is a patchwork from different MS and so its appearance has become distorted.
