>new carrier design'

Actually, it's a design that's been carried over from the Old Star Wars EU, http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Quasar_Fire-class_bulk_cruiser

I'm hoping that we get to see more olf EU designs recanonized. Particularly hoping to see Assault Gunboats again. Loved flying those things in TIE Fighter.

>>13901317
We've had threads on Star Wars here before. And those like this one specifically discussing ships and droids are definitely /m/ related. The only faggot here is you.
>>
I'm mad.
>>
>>13901421
has Rebels actually done anything new?
not meant as a knock on it or anything since it's a good idea to tweak the decades of stuff that's already floating around, but it seems to largely pull from old stuff for the designs
>>

Poor TIE pilots.

I want more dead Rebelscum.

These are new.

Generally it's been used to recanonize stuff in a more consistent format but there's new things here and there. The episode with the Clone Troopers in a busted old AT-TE vs prototype AT-ATs was amazing.

There's also this thing. I like it. It gives us an intermediary between the lightly armed AT-ST and the AT-AT.

It was in a sourcebook before that. But your point is clear.

That's actually not new. But I'll be damned if I can place what it was from. I think it was in the original Essential Guide to Vessels.

The fuck does he mean just like the old days? Did he not get the kill all jedi order or something?
>>
>>13907685
One of the first clone deployments was alongside a substantial jedi deployment? So they might have seen jedi at work at some point IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING SEPARATIST REBELLION THAT CONSTITUTED THREE MOVIES AND A TV SHOW.

It's mentioned several times in this thread.

The Quasar Fire-class first appeared as the converted Alliance carrier Flurry in The Truce at Bakura, a novel from 1994. The design itself was further elaborated on in an RPG sourcebook for the novel to go along with West End's tabletop RPG two years later. It would go on to be featured as the default Rebel carrier design in games like Alliance.

In the new canon, it's apparently a purpose-built Imperial light carrier instead of the converted bulk cruiser it used to be. It's also gotten a slight redesign, as it's slightly larger, more stylized and Imperial-looking, has four smaller hangers instead of one enormous one, and has sprouted a few extra turrets.

Didn't they have those KOTOR ships show up? What happened there?

Subplot from The Clone Wars. The Order 66 program was attached to the Clone Trooper brains by a distinct bio-chip and its existence was hidden from them. One of the last arcs in the show was about one trooper who found out about this and ends up getting killed by his own brother clones after going off the deep end. However Rex and a few others found out about the Order 66 bio-chip implant after this and surgically removed theirs. After the war they were allowed to "retire" by the Empire and basically shunted off to the edge of space to die of old age. When the Rebels meet up with them again initially Rex and his buddies are hesitant of going against the Empire, it's kinda cute in a way because of how nice they are.

Not really surprising Rex removed his chip though, considering he'd already been betrayed by authority once in the Umbara arc where his Jedi commander threw his clones into the meat grinder in order to defect.

Really love EU designs being used in Rebels and thus becoming canon

Rebels is what, 14 years aftet Episode 3? Poor Rex and Co. Basically gained thirty years over that timeframe.

Dave Filoni is saving Star Wars as far as I can tell. He heard the canon shredder coming and started manning the lifeboats.
