/m/, help me out a little. I discovered an interesting game series called "power dolls" for pc. It has both srpg games and action ones.

I am more concerned about Power Dolls 6 and remake of the first game, as well as other late games in the series, pd4, 5.
PD6 looks like incredible simulation game.

I ve never actually played anything power doll related but to me they are the best mecha design i ve ever seen, and i m not actually sure why

PowerDoLLs started as turn-based, but became an RTS in 3/4 and changed back to turn-based in 5 because the RTS versions weren't as popular.
6 is an action game and it's considered so terrible that the Japanese consider it "Black History" and refuse to acknowledge its existence - you can buy every game from the company's eShop except that particular one so it's really unlikely anyone has a copy of it... I mean, even less likely than usual.

Basically died when everyone else in Japan PC industry moved to porn but they didn't. I think the entire team was laid off and went on to some other company where they created a clone of it but it's even more obscure than PowerDoLLs and I can't remember the name of it right now

No, it wasn't Blue Flow/Blue Blaster, that one is made by the same company and supposedly in the same PowerDolls continuity.

I can't think of a single time when that actually worked out well when it's done "officially".
Kind of strange when things that originated as porn can still be good but when something gets converted to one...
