Newest ep of rebels was nothing major, but it did have these custom mining guild TIEs.
What's your favourite Star Wars ship or vehicle?
Moldy Crow is my favorite, thought that's probably because I played Dark Forces a whole bunch as a kid.
I'd lose my shit and feel all excited if it ever pops up in Rebels.
Vehicle-wise, I do like the AT-STs for their sound design. There's just something about the noise of their footsteps and leg motors that makes me wish I could pilot them.

You might get lucky, the Flurry will be showing up soonish so anything's possible.
TIE Interceptor, it's so bad.
>>13866269
>Tie Defender is canon again.
Now I only need the hunter, and I can be happy.
>>13866269
Probably the Hammerhead or Republic Corvette.
Does taking out a couple of wing panels do anything for them?
Say what you want about the prequels but I love the ship designs.Bandai kit when?
>>13866594
Slightly better peripheral vision?
>>13866627
Ships and sound design were the two things the prequels were really good at.
>>13866594
Maybe it's like a neutered version for sale that can't perform as well.
I love the ARC-170. As for the TIE side of things, I'm of simple taste. The Advanced x1 really is the pinnacle of all TIE designs, Either that or the TIE Bomber.
>>13866640
>put cameras on the tips of the wing
>problem solved
>>13867129
They can't afford them.
Man, the empire hated their pilots.
>>13866269
has anyone noticed that the Tie Fighters in Rebels have shorter wings than other ties from the movies??
they seem kind of short?
>>13868973
Probably just stylized. Like the stormtroopers having oversized helmets.
>>13866269
I thought the clone wars had some really interesting designs
>>13869012
>>13868973
Yeah, also every toy of TIE fighters ever has had the same shortened wings.
>>13869012
I like that the Empire is still using these in Rebels.
>>13869070
guess i need to watch rebels
>>13869090
It starts out like TCW did with hammy episodes but it loses those pretty quickly and people start dying. The second season has been doing more episodic world-building stuff but they've been doing stuff with Ahsoka, Rex and next week Cham Syndulla comes back too. Oh, and Hondo's a recurring character.
>>13866269
The shorter wing panels could probably be passed off as being based on the original T.I.E. Fighter or second generation TIE Fighter compared to the TIE/LN Fighter from the movies.
>>13866269
Are TIE Fightersavailable for purchase in black markets?
Don't see many third party TIEs. The X-Wings miniatures game have scum and villainy using Headhunters and Y-wings.
There was the Plasma Devils in the canon Darth Vader comic using Y-Wings.
>>13874061
Thing is, TIEs don't have a hyperdrive, they require the pilot to wear a full pressure suit for any flight longer than a few minutes, they don't have shields, peripheral vision is shit (at least it has rear/top windows).
You can get TIEs, but nobody wants them when a Headhunter or Y-Wing is available.
>>13874061
In this case the Mining Guild works directly for the Empire so it's likely they were supplied for site security.
>>13874158
There's also the fact that no one can afford the economy of scale that makes the TIE practical for the Empire.
Although, for what it's worth, the TIE would have eventually been replaced by the T65 X-Wing, had Incom's engineers not defected to the Rebellion.
>>13866594
Lore-wise, it increases peripheral vision but significantly decreases combat effectivness due to the removal of solar panels.
>>13866269
That actually looks a lot nicer than the standard TIE just for removing the front most panel on each wing. I like the logo on the top panel too. Kind of wish they'd experiment with TIEs more like that in Rebels to be honest.
>>13874347
I wonder what an Imperial X-Wing would look like since they'd surely recolor it at the least to fall more in line with the grey/black color schemes of most of their equipment.
>>13876248
>I wonder what an Imperial X-Wing would look like
Probably the same white colouring, if not slightly grayer, with any coloured stripes like the one in >>13874347 removed.
If you're gonna ride, ride in style.
