>Just got done watching G Gundam
>mfw
Hold me /m/, it's a masterpiece.
>perfect
>even JEGAN HOW'RE YOU got abused less
>>13862703
Get some taste
>>13862734
Less than what?
>>13862746
>he doesn't appreciate cheesy as fuck anime
It's like all the good things about Saturday morning cartoons concentrated into one show. That ending blew my mind it was so over the top.
>>13862753
>It's like all the bad things about Saturday morning cartoons concentrated into one show.
ftfy, G was shit
I think G Gundam is fucking great but I was a little disapointed by the last part on the island.
They were hyping up the last 4 sub-boss for quite some time and it just felt a little rush.
>>13862734
you know, that was kind of silly just how much Shining/Burning finger was overused
Really, the show has a ton of problems (like, you could make a bingo chart with some of the standard shonen series problems and G Gundam would fill most of it), but I loved the fuck out of it still.
It's not a masterpiece. It's still a very enjoyable show.
one of the most disappointing things is how Domon straight up couldn't lose at all during the final arc in Hong Kong, that was fucking dumb, completely killed a lot of the tension
and then the fights against the rest of the Shuffle Alliance (except against Sai, that was a good fight) were total asspull victories from Domon
and then Domon was a stubborn idiot for almost the whole series and showed no signs of getting better about that, to the point where it got annoying instead of seeming like just a part of his character
Despite its issues, the Gundam designs were cool (most), the music was cool, the fights were cool, and the setting was actually pretty cool (loved the grimy, worn look of the Earth).
>>13862801
Nah, it was pretty rad.
>>13862746
>trolls have even resorted to ragging on G Gundam
I mean, I know you get your jollies out of being as contrarian as possible, but there are just some levels of stupid that you don't delve down to.
>>13862903
Nah it was shit
>>13862880
It's a kung-fu fightan show with special moves and secret techniques. Domon having a fnishing move he uses all the time isn't so out of place when everyone else has one of their own too - it'd be like complaining about Goku's use of Kamehameha waves or Ichigo's use of Getsuga Tensho.
Part of why Build Knuckle was so annoying was that SBS had a whole litany of abilities it could have pulled out with the Plavsky Gates, but they just kept dumping the weapons at the start to have it punch things. In a show where no one else was really doing the named finisher thing, thus making it stand out more. And then we get Try where the main mech is entirely devoted to what's essentially that one move everyone was sick of 6+ months ago. And never really evolves much from there, in addition to everything else that was handled so badly in the show.
Anyone mind a small Domon/Rain dump? I've been wanting to share some of these for a while

Faggots hating best AU isn't anything new.

"Masterpiece" might be stretching it.

Welcome to the club, anon, glad to have you.
You got a favorite fighter?
>>13862987
This shit actually made me mad.

You posted him.

>Flashback shows that his natural hair color is all purple
>He CHOOSE to add that pink highlight
Why?
>>13863043
Because Americans are FREE.
>>13863043
Ladies love pink. You don't like ladies? You one of those queermosexuals?
>>13863043
It's anime hair, it's not ACTUALLY purple and pink, it's just coloured that way to make him stand out from other characters.
You're supposed to read the purple as black or dark brown and the pink as blonde.
>>13863043
He grayed early due to stress. But he's colorblind so it came in pink.
>>13863060
Nice TVT theory.
>>13863043
because its awesome.
>>13862987
not saying it is any less of an asspull but Master can sorta do the clone thing so it wasn't too far out there to think Domon can do it too.
>>13863079
Where did he even get a grass reed in the middle of a giant city? Does he just keep the same one with him all the time? Why doesn't it ever brown?
>>13862703
>masterpiece
HA.It's fun though.
>>13862991
I appreciate it in that it's one of the few shows that understands you have to keep the Best Girl pure in order to save her for the audience.
>>13862880
> that was kind of silly just how much Shining/Burning finger was overused
That's a common trope.
>>13862801
>>13862972
It was better than Zeta, that's for sure.
>>13863472
I agree
Had to drop G gundam, i gave it 12 episodes to draw me in. Sometimes it would draw me in, and then it would blow it all away with something stupid and inconsistent. Like the mexico episode, I was having fun. Then shining finger to the head is now dangerous to the pilot, despite it not being so for the previous 7 or so episodes. Fucking bullshit.
>>13863494
Still better than Zeta.
>>13863117
Selfish bastard, a true man loyal to his waifu would want her to be happy above all else.
>>13862703
I really do appreciate G. Though I tend to not really count is as gundam and just kind of acknowledge it in passing.
As far as I'm concerned 00 is still the best AU show but damn G was brilliant. I wish Sunrise took more chances like it.
>>13863496
>>13863472
That's not very hard
