You use that time to reposition yourself behind cover or set pods. If they let you continue to wail on them while they're down, then it would be incredibly easy to gain a huge lead just from one knockdown. They do the same thing in the Gundam Extreme Vs games.

What would be the plot?
The toys/gadgets of the house coming together to fight off pests and other invaders?

Naturally it has to be about a mad scientist and her OG tiny robot collectible toyline/household helper and it somehow involves a world-destroying plot... somehow. Like spying on people while they're in the bathroom or some shit, I don't know, Terada will work it out somehow.
Main character's grandfather is the original inventor of the OG line but left it all to make the strongest model for his grandson. And a not-so-powerful model for his grandson's friend from next door. And they combine or something and the OG model is overly attached to the OG main character for a walking AI conduit board.
And, uh, how to vent the laughing gas in the apartment ducts when there are a horde of 1/144 Zaku IIs in the vents, stopping a painful kneecapping from having a table leg or two unscrewed on them by an Angel, a Shiki was used to rig the Plavsky arena, someone stole the Combat-san, etc.

yes, but it's way too easy even without items (final boss can get tricky, but just a little), but that's only during the story, post game is where shit can get ridiculous at first, so hoard those items the best you can and use them there. the combat is fun and can be fast but there's not too much variety of attacks, don't expect making sick combos using the knuckles or swords as well. doesnt help that you have to keep an eye on a bar that depletes fast if you start spamming attacks or running around, it refills after some time, but your attacks gets reduced to 1 hit and your speed is affected tremendously between that happenstwo of the playable characters have an special mode that gives you free use of your attacks without worrying for that bar for a limited time
there's also a new game plus mode once you beat the game which has more armor sets that you didn't see during the first playthrough, starting it though makes you lose all your saved parts except the ones that the robots are using at the moment (they get turned into a special currency that you can use in the shop of the wireless mode, i still haven't tackle that though, i'm level 90 with the three main characters i don't know if it is the right time for me. probably shit's gonna be a breeze for me now.
unfortunately the sequels will probably not come here because the game sold like ass iirc, feel free to try them if you have a hacked 3ds, people said that the second fixed some things and it has an online battle mode, but probably is dead as fuck since the game came like 4 years ago

translation of JP wikipedia indicates it was on hiatus after vol 3 because the magazine it was in stopped publishing, and it had to be moved to a new magazine where it got the Duo tacked on.
