Guillermo Del Toro is doing a new Voltron cartoon with Dreamworks for Netflix. Thoughts? I'm fucking excited. I loved Pacific Rim and his other movies. I grew up with the shitty 90's CGI Voltron too so I can't wait to see a modern version. (Although Dinosaur voltorn was pretty cool.)
Old news aside from that poster. It might be ok. Fuck Netflix, though.

Same here, every Voltron revival since the original has sucked (end even the original isn't all that great), but it's Del Toro, so I'll adopt a wait and see approach.

He's doing a series called Trollhunters which is ALSO from Dreamworks and is a part of their deal with Netflix.

Honestly? I'm happier this way.
Del Toro probably has the skill to make a good Voltron show, but Del Toro also has the skill to make a good show out of property with less baggage.
