Amuro's newtype abilities are at best above average and are certainly not off the charts. Judau and Kamille are both stronger than him at the very least, as are Haman and Scirocco. He's skilled with what he has, but what he has ain't overwhelming by any stretch.

I'd say Banagher is the more powerful newtype since he was awakened right out of the box. On the other hand, Amuro was far more experienced and more willing to kill. He could arguably kill Banager in Unicorn with Hi-Nu if he doesn't use his fin funnels.

Actually, Banagher probably has very little to do with it. The Unicorn is stupidly powerful. Basically the whole thing is made of Psychoframe. It's such a grotesquely-expensive machine, the weakest Newtype could pull miracles out of his ass with it.

Forgot this. There's also Puru's last stand with the psycommu in her broken down Qubeley. The only newtypes more powerful are Shakti, Maria, Paptimus, Kamille, Judau, Haman, maybe Lalah, and now Banana. Riddhe's an odd case. Amuro's still pretty good himself, no idea why he would be considered just above average. That would be someone like Mineva or Uso.

Getting killed by Chara, a comparable newtype with a much better MS, is nothing too damning. I forgot who else helped. Those two had more piloting experience than the other clones and Mashymre and Chara were better pilots than the original and Two.
It's beside the point since I was referring to their ability as newtypes. They should produce the same amount of psyco waves as Puru and Puru Two's encounter suggested and they're exact copies. Marida should be a better pilot than both of them by Unicorn and more adapted to her powers, even if she doesn't do anything particularly crazy in it.

You're insane. Puru was never a particularly good pilot. Mashymere embarrassed Puru Two with a custom Zaku III against her Queen Mansa. After getting enhanced, Chara and him were no jokes. Name the people who are shown to be more powerful newtypes than him, then the people less powerful than him and he'll almost certainly end up towards the middle of the list. Which would make him about average.

He's above average. Much more sensitive than most in his reactions to hostility around him. His inability to send telepathic messages or communicate with the ghosts show you he's not particularly powerful. Even Katejina was able to use telepathy to call for Cronicle, an oldtype, to help her. Fuala was the better of the three NT pilots in Victory.
