Easily one of my favorite parts of ZZ, one of my favorite designs ever. Say what you will about the series but it had some really solid mecha designs.

Zaku III is still looks inherently a Zeonic.
Axis/Neo-Zeon didn't make the Zaku line their own until the Geara Doga.

He was supposed to be Char. That's why he comes back all important, with his own ship and an army of lolis, and tries to take control of Axis due to some nebulous connection with the Zabis.

I liked it in Gundam Battle Universe for the PSP. You can detach the backpack and use it to ram enemies, and due to the way collision on battleship targets cause damage, launching the backpack at a battleship so it spends as much time inside the battleship model as possible nets a massive amount of damage.
The only downside was that even after maxing out the stats, it's still sort of just only above average and doesn't quite compare to other suits.
