I think they're well detailed and have very interesting designs, but I can't really say I'm into them. Certainly well made though.
They're fantastic, but clearly not suitable for a TV-series animation. These things deserved an OVA or movie budget at least.
I'm still amazed that Tomino managed to trick Nagano into even making designs for this in the first place.
The Baronz and Brain Childs are cool. There rest are a tad too plain for my tastes

Nagano probably just did it because Tomino asked him too. They're like father and son. It's the same reason Miyazaki managed to convince Anno to voice the MC in his last movie.
The mecha designs were clearly the only thing he was involved in for BP though, unlike in L-Gaim.
I really dig them. The only thing that kinda annoyed me is how they just magically float without having to move at all.

Tomino probably slapped Nagano a lot of times during the production of L-Gaim, which would explain all the slapping that happened later on in Zeta.

They're okay, they feel kinda standard for tomino works except the Anti-bodies can teleport and what not
