I just hit him with Heptad Shot with Poison, Blind, Oil, then Blast, and then spammed Dire Shot right in his eye. Chunked off like a third of a HP bar per shot, and the Blast volley had already taken him down to only a bar and a half left.

But more likely, becausethey fucked up by making Genjurou as powerful as he is, it's like how every story where Superman's not the main character needs some way to disable him or he'd just throw the problem into the sun or incinerate it from orbit then hug everyone into UNDERSTANDING. Better storytellers could deal with that sort of character without having to either constantly come up with ways to sideline him or just completely underselling him, but we didn't get a better storyteller. Hence Genjuro suddenly being a weak chump.

But saying Genjuro was stronger than S1 Gears isn't the same as saying he's stronger than the current Gears. In G everyone became far more experienced and knowledgeable about fighting skills, especially Hibiki.
Granted everyone forgot how to fight in GX but we've seen feats of power that are equal if not greater than Genjuro's early ones like the shuttle scene, the train, battleship-destroying beams, etc.
I wonder if season 4 can top GX's opening episode. As polarizing as the rest of the season may be, that was one of the most ridiculously fun first episodes.

Hibiki didn't start to fight until a little later. IIRC the sequence of events was:
Mikugear appears > Attacks Chris > Chris fights back > Big Fucking Laser > Ver unleashes the Noise to distract Chris and Tsubasa > Hibiki shows up to fight Miku
Chris kills a ton of Noise, but there are no sailors shown alive afterwards, only charcoal on the decks of the ships. Granted, people could have retreated indoors, but that doesn't really do much to stop Noise.

Well assuming it was what they used to cloak the VTOL and has mirror like properties I wouldn't be surprised she would be capable of cloaking herself, she didn't do it in the series tough.
Also Shenshou Jing was pretty unarmored even in comparison to the other geahs, at first that made me think that perhaps the armor on a Symphogear is related to how big the fragment of the relic is and that if you added more pieces of the relic it will gain more armor, of course this would lead to the Symphogears basically looking like Tekkaman or something eventually.
