One thing I didn't expect to enjoy about the series at first, but wound up liking a lot, is the fact that very little of the action of the episodes so far is actually about fighting monsters. It's very heavily focused on character relationships and development (reminds me a lot of Kuuga, actually), and all the characters are very believable and likeable. Also the fact that Asumu and Hibiki's sides of the story for each episode parallels each other very deliberately.
And now it seems like that's all going to get fucked up past the retool.
I'm praying that Metronome does Kabuto.

Can you not read?Asumu was going to get an Oni form, because surprise, characters can develop into having new views on things over time. When they started designing Kyoki, they decided to scrap Asumu's suit for parts to use for Kyoki to improve it further.

Nope, Banno was a really effective villain despite being a moustache-twirling evil scientist with a stupid fucking final form, and his final fight with Gou was far and away the emotional catharsis of the finale.
Where the show fucks up is trying to shoehorn Sigma in at the last second. Really, other people have pointed this out, but past the Freeze arc, Chase and Gou are really the main characters of the last couple arcs of Drive and Shin takes the backseat. But then the show feels like it NEEDS to give him some big centerpiece finale fight other than the showdown with Heart after all the other Roidmudes are dead, and that's where it fucks up.

I like Agito and Kabuto a lot. I can't really get into these newer Kamen Rider shows. I watched most of Kiva, all of Gaim, some of Drive, they just don't hook me. I hate to say they're a little too childish, since I loved the shit out of ToQgers, but there's something about them that is grating.
Can anyone recommend what to watch after I finish Kabuto that's like it/Agito?

Agito and Ryuki are not "Good Tier" Agito's ending just kind of... happens, especially after all that build up of really cool shit about to happen, and then he justrider kicks god and suddenly it's all over, and all the build up to a female agito being godlike, and then nothing
Ryuki's ending is something I hold a grudge with on a deeper level. I know a lot of people argue thatRyuki's ending was to show how pointless war is, how nothing good comes from it, etc etc. Except there was some good showing how bonds can come from those who have such differences and conflict early on, and then it just resets it and makes all that plot progression I just watched worthless. Not even a sign that they remember each other, they just happen to go to the same place in the end. It felt cheap, and kind of lazy. I don't think I'll ever like a time reset ending no matter what.
Kuuga I personally wouldn't put there since the show's plot just felt placed in the background, but I can understand why people like that final arc because it did have a good resolution. Also I'd move drive up only because I really liked the way all those story lines ended. That was some good ass acting at the very least.
For the other shows not listed I'd say Hibiki is shit tier final arc, same with Kiva. Decade's show is shit tier, movie is it's alright I guess tier, with an argument to be made for good tier.

There's some typos, and some weird-ass literal translations (it IS scrubbing from TV-N's subs after all), but it fixes the worst of Takenoko's mistakes. I think Turnip said that he didn't want to keep to more literal versions, even if they sound stilted or odd in English. He talked about doing a V2 batch later on too.
Really the bigger improvement is just a video encode that's not shit quality.
