what kills me is the format of the story REALLY lends itself to novelization and guest writers. What I'd love to see is a collection of the setting in english.

i actually like his noodle people, it really fits the aesthetic of the series and canonically the human race regressed into these thin frames. occasionally you'll see a normal human body in the manga and it's jarring.

Nagano's character designs post-Gothicmade are such a huge improvement over his old ones. They're still noodles, but the faces and outfits are even better than before. Now they look stylized, as opposed to being uncanny valley like in the 90's.
He also draws the best traps, bar none.

Literally THE reason I'm not into cape comics any more. Any event, any plot/hook, many whole characters even, being rendered moot in a mater of months after writer A leaves to be replaced by writer B, and then again when C replaces B, and again, and again, until literally none of them mater because they'll be written out of cannon in a few years.

i respect your opinion and agree to a point but to give an example, I love both morrisons All Star Superman and Moore's for the man who has everything. there can be great opportunities to let talented writers to handle huge properties like FSS, you just got to let go of worrying about continuity or as morrison does it, HYPERCRISIS

One thing I've never understood about American comic books is that there's such a vast overabundance of characters who are theoretically the same but aren't. Even characters within the same continuity aren't the same character, and it's not because of development. Writers make new characters, and there's absolutely no way to get into comics without losing tons of history that would make you hate what you're reading anyway.
