So I'm organizing my books and I look at this for the first time in years, and something about it seems really.... off. Or more accurately, familiar,

These space fighters look like folded up mecha to me. Some sort of flight or Mobile Armor mode or such. Does it look that way to anybody else? Are they some specific MS or other robot? It looks like a mid to late 80's thing. Maybe leaning towards Neo Zeon, I'm not sure.

I was younger when I read them. Mid teens I think. The books were pretty fun, brisk stuff. Nothing massive, but enjoyable reads. I can recommend them.
