If you look at the second pic you can see what I think is a barrel. Others have said the Kimaris has a 20mm cannon, so I assume it was integrated into the lance. Though I guess I could be wrong and they could release it in a weapons set later? Though why not put it in the one that comes with the Kimaris backpack?

Gee, I don't know. If it was beam technology, I'd not mind it, but... explosive propellants and moving mechanical parts shouldn't be integrated to systems that are meant to come under stress as severe as that of jamming the entire structure through several feet of armor plating.
Maybe it's more like a head vulcan-like sidearm weapon, though. 20mm is very low-cal in Gundamverse afterall.
