I already know that too. Metal Slug owes pretty much everything to Shirow's work, but what I was saying was this vehicle in particular is more similar to the Slug than the Bonaparte. The Slug is basically a Bonaparte Junior but its turret and chassis layout are different, and the guy imitates the Slug turret, and tread layout.
You can see elements of the Bonaparte in Metal Slug vehicles besides the Slug, too, namely in the Di-Cokka. The lower chassis are prettymuch carbon copies. The Sarubia also resembles the Bonaparte in this sense, and has the proportions as well.

Those IDW comics are better written than anything from the Gundam franchise in the past 15 years. If you can show me any version of Zeon or its clone factions that are more likeable and badass than the IDW Decepticions, show me here.

Robots In Disguise was a bit too much Death and Politics to robot antics, yes. I wastly prefer More Than Meets The Eye.
Since Titans Return is coming up that will be the place to reveal that an evil Titanmaster have hijacked Star Sabers body and Saber is still out there.
