Jesus Shit man, I don't think you realize how upbeat this show is. You know how most parody or comedy shows will just turn their head and say how silly robots are? Yeah Dai Guard doesn't fucking do that. Robots are awesome.
You know how most shows that try to put these things into a more realistic world or deconstruct the genre by making it all bleak and cynical? Dai Guard doesn't do that shit either.
Yeah it knows what kind of show it is but it also knows what kind of show it ain't. And it sure as fuck ain't some over angsty peace of melodramatic bullshit that makes fun of the genre or has a shitty outlook on people to cater to the edgy crowd.
Yeah there's character drama and conflict but when Dai Guard does it it's not some pussy teenager who has to learn how to not be a psycho. It's about how good people who want to do good things have to learn how to work together and compromise to come to the best answer.
it doesn't paint the bright eyed well meaning heroes as naive idiots and the cold calculating military man is on their side and trying to find how to make the system work for them.
People motivated by greed are the minority and humanity as a whole is wonderful and willing to go all out to help in the case of an emergency.
Its gonna take time to sit down and remind you whats important and what we're trying to protect and we are gonna hold fucking hands and sing that song from the end of the grinch because people are fantastic and I challenge to not have a smile as wide as these contentinal united states when this shit is over
Watch it, smile then get a good nights rest because you're gonna want to go out and volunteer at a soup kitchen or something tomorrow.

Generally, most Brave shows will do the trick, but my personal favorite so far is J-Decker. It's positive towards robot integration and does things because they're cool.

OP as much as i hate saying this Eva is one of your best options,while yes most of these series are uplifting in the end you'll only be escaping into a fantasy whichi will last anywhere from 12,25 or 50 episodes.
With Eva if you manage to pay attention and get immersed it becomes a tool for self-actualization and maybe even finding a purpose for yourself.
