Dorothy is great because its clear that she has emotions and personality, as she snarks constantly. She is pretty damn opinionated. But the limitations of her body make expressing the fine details that personality damn near impossible, since her facial expression and tone of voice basically never change even when she is goddamn terrified.
So that makes her interesting to watch. On top of that, the fine control and strength of her physical frame just makes her a badass, so that's great too.
