Well I think the designer was really into the whole tacticool standpoint of designs but then he banked too much on that to the point that it became silly. The designs of AOZ just left the Gundam universe in design philosophy. How is anyone supposed to accept that it took place before and after Zeta Gundam it literally makes no sense.

The only part they wouldn't be able to fabricate is the core frame itself; what makes the Gundam frames valuable is their pair of synchronized Ahab reactors. Repairing the limbs or creating new armor plates is mostly constrained by time and resources.
That said, the Gusion was modified for explicit space use because Brewers, so it could be that this rebake is closer to the original specifications.

Generally-speaking most of the mobile suits seem incredibly solid and stand up well to machine-gun fire. I'm guess that's because they're all using anti-personnel or anti-worker weaponry, because for a long time that's all MS are used for in this universe. They even say that the Brewers are using a cheap machinegun model that's common.

It's a different kind of escalation. Less of a "we had a new idea" and more of a "look what we took out of storage." With Gjallarhorn, and the fallout of the Calamity War, it's safe to assume that the really good stuff hasn't been used in a while.

Even the color scheme can work as is, just needs some panel lining and a couple touch ups on those fuck huge tumors coming out of the back but the head, torso arms and legs are a-okay and the goat feet look less out of place on it than it does on the Barbatos.

Supposedly the man Rodi were calamity war pieces, hopefully they salvage them. Mika went straight for cockpit shots so hopefully the rest is in working order and they can fix them with mobile worker parts. It would be a waste of the design if it were only to appear in those two episodes

The Rodi frame were supposed to be some of the most mass produced frames during the calamity war and don't have the twin linked reactors (Only the 72 gundams have them and they were supposed to be super difficult to make, even then). And based on the Turbine girls comments, the Man rodi is something new built around the Rodi frame (She asks if the Rodi were always so round in shape).
From what I recall the ship only has room for 3 MS anyways, so with the gusion there isn't enough space. I wouldn't be surprised if they salvaged reactors off of them to sell like they did the graze though.

That or the Rodis don't see a lot of action nowadays; alternatively, the various pirates/mafia types don't cross paths much. There are better targets out there that'll put up less of a fight. Given that the Turbines are one ship, I think it's safe to say that they're not always the most reliable source.

I'm pretty sure they should be able to hold more than four. The Brewers had the two ships and a small support craft; in the "maybe Pedro was reincarnated?" scene we see four Man Rodi pilots and Kudal. Based on that, the ships loadout should be at least four machines. As for an upper estimate, I'd put capacity at six plus one. The Gusion was clearly using a second independent hangar, and we can't be sure about similarities between all of the ships even if they seem to use a common frame. Kudal also orders "Rodis one through five" to join him, so I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they had about a dozen of them before their first conflict with Tekkadan.
