Does anyone know what episode this song from Turn A Gundam was used in? It makes me really sad for some reason but I can't remember the context of it at all and it was bugging me.

There's two different versions of it.

Have you watched the movies? If it hits you in the feels, it's also the melody used at the finale of End Title / Nostalgia

I was asking about the lyrical version from the third OST. I didn't realize there was one in the movie OST too. Thanks a lot. I think it reminds me of a WWII era time.

To be honest,
1. It's one of my favorite tracks from the soundtrack (though I personally prefer the OST1 orchestral/choir version, myself)
2. I'm 45 episodes into a rewatch where Turn A's moved from "a really good series" to "either my favorite or second favorite Gundam series"
Aaaand I have no fucking clue what episodes either the OST1 or 3 version is used.
So I'd bank on it probably being a just sort of general evoked sentiment thing rather than being tied to a specific poignant scene.

They probably used like 10 seconds of those songs which is why you dont recognise them

I have no idea when or if it plays, but I absolutely love this song.
I feel like I don't remember a lot of the songs from the OSTs actually playing in the series, like this one:

Probably that, yes. I recognized that OST 3's Tsuki no Kujira (Moon Whale), which is a 4+ minute track that's always been one of my favorites is used for about ten seconds at the end of the episode dealing with the moon whales. And I think Spiral Re-born (first track of OST 1) was also only ever used for a brief moment at the end of the mass driver episodes.
When does "ALFA AND OMEGA" play, or is that a movie-only song?
